April Rainfall Surges to 175% of Monthly Average

Nicosia: Rainfall during the first 20 days of April reached 175% of the monthly average for the month in question. According to Cyprus News Agency, preliminary data from the Department of Meteorology reveals that the total average rainfall from the 1st of the month until 09:00 on April 20 amounted to 52.4 millimeters. This is a substantial increase compared to the 29.9 millimeters, which is the normal rainfall for the entire month.

The data further indicates that this month's precipitation has already reached 175% of the average levels typically expected in April. The highest amount of precipitation during this period was recorded in Platania with 93.5 millimeters, equating to 180% of normal levels. Similarly, Saittas saw 91.3 millimeters, which translates to 191% of the usual amount, and Stavros tis Psokas registered 83.1 millimeters, representing 145% of the normal precipitation.
