Nicosia: Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said on Thursday that the agreement on the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza constitutes “a day of promise and hope for our region.”
According to Cyprus News Agency, the President expressed his approval of the agreement on the initial phase of Trump’s plan, which involves a Gaza ceasefire and the release of hostages. In a post on X, he emphasized the significance of the agreement, stating that “full implementation by all is essential to end suffering and pave the way for lasting peace and a two-state solution.” President Christodoulides reiterated that the development marked “a day of promise and hope for our region.”
