Ashdod: A new shipment of 940 tons of humanitarian aid sent from Cyprus has arrived at the port of Ashdod and is set to be delivered to civilians in Gaza via UNOPS, the Foreign Ministry announced in a post on X on Tuesday.
According to Cyprus News Agency, these humanitarian supplies consist of food items and shelter equipment. This shipment is in addition to the 27,000 tons of aid already distributed in Gaza through the Cyprus Maritime Corridor.
The Ministry further highlighted that the implementation of the Amalthea Plan is ongoing, in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates and coordinated with UNOPS and international partners, including other EU Member States.
The Ministry concluded by affirming Cyprus’s commitment to continue its active humanitarian contributions in collaboration with partners, under the auspices of the United Nations.
