Nicosia: A 5.0 Richter earthquake rattled Cyprus at 11:09 local time. The tremor was centered in the sea area, approximately 110 kilometers northwest of Polis Chrysochous, situated in the Paphos region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Cyprus Geological Survey Department reported that the earthquake had a depth of 32 kilometers. The seismic activity was strongly felt on the southern coast of Turkey and also noticeable in the districts of Nicosia, Paphos, Kyrenia, and Limassol.
The Seismological Center of the Geological Survey Department is actively monitoring the phenomenon to assess any potential aftershocks or related seismic activities.
