Istanbul: Türkiye’s premier technology event, TEKNOFEST, opened its doors in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul on Wednesday. The five-day event is being hosted at Istanbul Ataturk Airport and organized by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation along with Türkiye’s Industry and Technology Ministry.

According to TRTworld.com, TEKNOFEST has been held since 2018 with support from numerous government bodies, private sector partners, and universities. This year, the festival welcomes visitors through Sunday, offering not only technology competitions but also a wide range of captivating events.

The festival features breathtaking air shows, various exhibits and workshops, immersive simulation areas, a planetarium, trade fair activities, and special student flight events. These activities bring together a rich tapestry of technological and thrilling experiences for attendees.

TEKNOFEST has traditionally alternated locations, being held in different Turkish cities during even-numbered years and in Istanbul during odd-numbered years. The festival has extended its reach beyond Türkiye, having been hosted in Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as well.

Last month, Blue Homeland, TEKNOFEST’s maritime edition, took place in Istanbul. The previous year saw the festival held in the southern Turkish city of Adana, attracting approximately 1.1 million visitors. Since its inception, TEKNOFEST has drawn a total attendance of around 11 million people.
