A yellow warning was issued on Tuesday afternoon by the Department of Meteorology, for local thunderstorms on Wednesday, December 14.
The warning, which is valid from 3:00 am until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, says that showers and local thunderstorms are expected to affect the area.
It is noted that the rain rate is expected to range between 35 and 50 millimeters per hour.
