ISTANBUL: Trkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev on Friday discussed recent developments on the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel-Palestine conflict.
“President Erdogan stated that Trkiye prioritizes preventing both Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Palestine conflicts from spreading to the region and exerts the utmost efforts to resolve the issues through dialogue and peace,” Trkiye’s Communication Directorate said on X.
Erdogan held a meeting with Radev on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which the Bulgarian president was attending on Trkiye’s southern Mediterranean coast.
“Expressing the importance of increasing cooperation between Trkiye and Bulgaria, particularly in the defense industry and energy fields, and developing relations in other fields as well, President Erdogan stated that Trkiye stands ready to collaborate with Bulgaria on LNG exports via highway, experience sharing, and renewable energy,” said the directorate.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Tran
sport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Trkiye’s National Intelligence Organization’s head Ibrahim Kalin, the country’s Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and presidential chief advisor Akif Cagatay Kilic also attended the meeting.
