Tsipras to discuss Cyprus issue, energy and EU-Russia relations in Moscow

The Cyprus issue, bilateral relations, energy and EU-Russia relations will be on the agenda of talks between Alexis Tsipras and Vladimir Putin, during the Greek Premier’s official visit to Moscow on December 7.

Tsipras will be accompanied by Greek Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Georgios Katrougalos and while in the Russian capital, he is scheduled to meet with President Putin and Prime Minister Medvedev.

As CNA learns, during the visit Greece and Russia will officially launch the deepening of their bilateral cooperation in the economic, energy and cultural sectors, among others. They will also discuss EU-Russia relations as well as the situation in Syria and Libya.

During the visit, the two sides are set to sign a number of bilateral agreements and memoranda regarding commercial shipping, the fight against organised crime, sport and standardization. They will also declare 2019 as the year of language and literature in both countries.
