Tsipras and Macron discuss Cyprus problem and energy cooperation during phone call

Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, and President of France, Emmanuel Macron, held today a phone conversation, in which they discussed, among other topics, the Cyprus problem and France’s energy cooperation with Greece and Cyprus.

As CNA learns, Tsipras and Macron discussed the future activities of the French company TOTAL in Cyprus and Greece.

During their phone conversation, Macron and Tsipras also referred to Turkey’s actions in the region, both agreeing on the importance of French-Greek cooperation.

Moreover, Prime Minister Tsipras and President Macron discussed the issues of the Syrian conflict, Greece’s negotiations to exit the bailout program, as well as negotiations in relation to FYROM’s name issue.
