Trade deficit down by 12.8% in January – October 2018

Trade deficit declined 12.8% in the period January – October, according to data released Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

Trade deficit dropped to Euros 3.4 billion in January-October 2018 compared to Euros 3.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2017.

Total imports of goods for January-October 2018 were Euros 7.3 billion compared to Euros 6.5 billion in January-October 2017. Total exports of goods in January-October 2018 were Euros 3.9 billion compared with Euros 2.5 billion in January-October 2017.

Total exports of domestically produced products, excluding ship and aircraft supplies, for January – October 2018 were Euros 1.4 billion compared to Euros 1 billion in January – October 2017.

Total domestic exports of industrial products for the period January – October 2018 were Euros 1.3 billion compared to Euros 899 million in January – October 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products for the period January – October 2018 were Euros 79.5 compared to Euros 85.8 million in the period January – October 2017.
