Trade deficit at Euros 461.1 million in March, provisional data show

Trade deficit stood at Euros 461.1 million in March, provisional data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Wednesday show.

On the basis of preliminary estimates for foreign trade of Cyprus in March 2017, total imports / arrivals were Euros 689.7 mn, of which Euros 410.1 mn were arrivals from other Member States of EU and Euros 279.6 mn imports from third countries.

Total exports/dispatches were Euros 228.6 mn of which Euros 86.6 mn were dispatches to other Member States of EU and Euros 142.0 mn exports to countries outside the EU.

Trade deficit for the first three months of the year reached Euros 1,263,940, according to the provisional data. Trade deficit at the first three months of last year was recorded at Euros 497,143.
