The second round of the talks on the issue of Territory began today in Switzerland

The talks between the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, and the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community, Mr Mustafa Akinci, on the issue of Territory began this morning at 10:30 (Cyprus time), in Mont Pelerin, Switzerland.

On behalf of the Greek Cypriot community, the meeting is attended by the interlocutor, Mr Andreas Mavroyiannis, the Government Spokesman and Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and professional staff.

At the beginning of the morning session of the talks, which are taking place under the auspices of the United Nations, Greek Cypriot, Turkish Cypriot and foreign Mass Media representatives were allowed to take photographs and shoot TV footage on the opening of the first meeting of the leaders. The meeting is conducted within the framework of the second round of negotiations on the issue of Territory.
