The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, departs today, 7 December 2016, for Israel, where tomorrow, along with the Prime Minister of Israel, Mr Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Prime Minister of Greece, Mr Alexis Tsipras, he will participate in the proceedings of the Cyprus-Greece-Israel Tripartite Summit, which will take place in Jerusalem.
The Summit, which will begin at around 11 in the morning, will be preceded by bilateral meetings between President Anastasiades and Prime Minister Netanyahu as well as between the two Prime Ministers.
Among the issues that will preoccupy the Summit, but also the bilateral meetings, are issues concerning Energy, Environment, Tourism, Research and Innovation, the fight against terrorism as well as the current situation in the process to solve the Cyprus problem.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Ioannis Kasoullides, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Mr Nicos Kouyialis, the Government Spokesman, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, and Government officials.
On the sidelines of the Tripartite Summit, tripartite ministerial meetings on Energy and Environmental issues will also take place.
The President of the Republic and his delegation will return to Cyprus in the morning of 9 December.
