The President of the Republic signed the book of condolences for the victims of the attack in Berlin

The President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, signed today the book of condolences, opened at the Embassy of Germany in Nicosia, for the victims of the recent attack in Berlin.

In his message the President wrote the following:

It is with great sorrow that I have received the news of the attack in Berlin on 19 December.

Such dreadful and inhumane acts are directed against peace and makes our collective effort to fight the scourge of terrorism even more imperative.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Cyprus, I wish to express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims as well as our full support and solidarity to the Government and the people of Germany.
