The Minister of Foreign Affairs signed the Book of Condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack in Berlin

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, signed today the Book of Condolences, opened by the Embassy of Germany in Nicosia, for the victims of the terrorist attack on a Christmas Market in Berlin.

In his message of condolences, Minister Kasoulides wrote the following:

I would like to express our sincere condolences for the terrorist attack on a Christmas Market in Berlin, which caused the death of at least 12 people and the injury of many more.

The bloody carnage was a result of hate and extremism, at a time when Europe and Germany in particular, are providing refuge to people under threat abroad. We shall continue to live by our values and by our traditions unabated.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this despicable tragedy.
