The newly appointed High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, based in Pretoria, Mr Yiannis Iacovou, presented his credentials to His Majesty King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Swaziland on March 30, 2017.
During the ceremony of presenting credentials to His Majesty, High Commissioner Iacovou conveyed to King Mswati III, on behalf of the President of the Republic, warm wishes for prosperity and progress to the people of Swaziland.
At a tA�te-A�-tA�te meeting, King Mswati III and Cyprus High Commissioner exchanged views on promoting further Swaziland and Cyprus’s bilateral relations for the benefit of their people, whilst Swaziland’s relations with the EU were also an issue on the agenda.
A discussion was also held on the developments with regards the Cyprus Problem as well as the course of the negotiations. High Commissioner Iacovou thanked King Mswati III for the support the government of Swaziland extends to Cyprus’ sovereignty and territorial integrity, within the UN and the Commonwealth.
