The Cyprus issue and inflation will be discussed at the National Council next Thursday

The latest developments in the Cyprus issue and inflationary pressures will be discussed at a meeting of the National Council, chaired by President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades, next Thursday, June 9th, at 10:30am, Government Spokesperson Marios Pelekanos said on Friday in a written statement.

According to the statement, the meeting will focus on the latest developments in the Cyprus issue and the inflationary pressures arising from the new global economic crisis, due to the war in Ukraine.

Pelekanos said issues requiring approval and adoption of reforms in various areas will also be discussed.

These issues are considered “preconditions for the absorption of European funds allocated to our country from the Recovery and Sustainability Plan and included in the National “Cyprus – Tomorrow” project, through which a total amount of 4.4 billion euros will be used for the benefit of citizens and society at large.”
