Syllouris discusses Brexit with British Council Chief Executive and Officer at Association of Commonwealth Universities

House President Dimitris Syllouris on Friday discussed Brexit in separate meetings he had with Sir Ciaran Devane, the Chief Executive of British Council and Senior scientific officer of Association of Commonwealth Universities Dr Andrew Cherry. The two are paying Cyprus a working visit.

A press release by the Parliament says that Syllouris and Sir Ciaran, who was accompanied by James Martin, Head of the British Council in Cyprus, discussed the bilateral cooperation in the field of education in the post Brexit era. They particularly discussed the areas of research and innovation and the cooperation between Universities in the two countries.

Dr Cherry briefed Syllouris on the role of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and how the two sides could benefit through a cooperation after the Brexit.
