Support Measure for grain and fodder plants submitted to EC for approval

Commissioner for State Aid Control Stella Michaelidou has submitted to the European Commission for approval a Support Measure for the sector of grain cultivation and fodder plants. The Support Measure aims to provide financial aid to professional farmers active in the production of cereals and fodder plants, so that in combination with the support based on Executive Regulation (EU) 2023/1465 to compensate a significant part of the losses they suffered in the 2022 - 2023 season. According to an official press release, the budget of this Measure (Phase B) amounts to €2,075,642. The Measure will enter into force after its approval by the European Commission and the final date by which individual aid can be granted will be 30 June 2024. Source: Cyprus News Agency
