The Ministry of Foreign Affairs utterly condemns the appalling terrorist attack against the church of St. Peter and St. Paul, in the area of the Coptic Cathedral Church in Cairo, which led to the tragic loss of so many innocent civilians.

Our thoughts are with the bereaved families of the victims, while we wholeheartedly wish for a speedy recovery of the injured.

At these difficult moments, the Government and the people of Cyprus extend their deepest sympathy and solidarity to the Government and the people of Egypt, and we resolutely stand by their side in their struggle against the scourge of terrorism.
