Sri Lanka’s FM in Cyprus for official visit

Sri Lankas Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana will meet with Cypriot Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides in the context of an official visit in Cyprus and will also be received by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades. The two ministers will open on Thursday the countrys General Consulate in Nicosia.

During their meeting today Christodoulides and Marapana are expected to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations, the latest developments in the Cyprus problem as well as EU – Sri Lanka relations, a Foreign Ministry press release issued here today says.

The Cypriot Foreign Minister will then host a working lunch for the delegations of the two ministries.

Tomorrow, the two Foreign Ministers will open the General Consulate of Sri Lanka, in Nicosia.

Tilak Marapana will also be received by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance Minister Zeta Emilianidou, the press release says.
