?otal registrations of motor vehicles numbered 3,279 in June 2021, recording a decrease of 7.6% compared to June 2020. Passenger saloon cars registered a fall of 4.6% to 2,482.
According to a press release by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, the total registrations of motor vehicles increased by 6.3% to 18,631 in January-June 2021, from 17.525 in January-June 2020.
Passenger saloon cars increased to 14,267 from 13,508 in January-June 2020, recording a rise of 5.6%. Of the total passenger saloon cars, 5,782 or 40.5% were new and 8,485 or 59.5% were used cars.
Coaches and buses registered in January-June 2021 decreased to 34, from 135 in the same period of 2020.
