The Commission`s proposal for a regulation on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport (Fuel EU Maritime) was discussed during Thursday’s meeting of the EU’s Transport Council in Brussels. Cyprus was represented by Shipping Deputy Minister Vassilis Demetriades.
According to a press release, the Deputy Minister stressed that Cyprus agrees with the objectives of the proposal, but conveyed Cyprus` concerns about various provisions which may have negative effects.
