President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades has departed for Jordan where he will participate in the deliberations of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa to be held in Amman on May 21.
According to an announcement issued here today by the Presidency, President Anastasiades will meet today with the King Abdullah II of Jordan with whom he will discuss regional developments, counter-terrorism issues as well as the developments in the Cyprus issue.
During his stay in Amman and on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, President Anastasiades is expected to have contacts with Heads of State and Government.
On May 21, the President will participate in a roundtable discussion with the participation of the President of Egypt, the President of Palestine, the Prime Minister of Georgia, the EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and others.
The President, who is accompanied by Deputy Government Spokesman Victor Papadopoulos, will return to Cyprus on May 21st.
