President to participate in EU – Arab Summit in Athens

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades will participate in the 3rd EU-Arab Summit that will take place in Athens 29 – 30 of October.

The Cypriot President will address the deliberations of the Summit which will be attended by heads of state and government of EU and Arab countries.

A press release by the Presidency says that the agenda includes issues like Europe and the Arab World in a Challenging Global Environment, European and Arab Neighborhood Policies in the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East, Migration Policies in the Mediterranean, Africa and the Middle East and Cooperation with Arab States on Climate Change and Energy Transition.

President Anastasiades will attend on the 29th of October the official dinner offered by Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, in honor of the leaders of the states participating in the Summit.

On October 30, the President will address a dinner organized by the Cypriot Association of Shipowners, in the framework of the annual General Assembly of the Association, that will take place in the afternoon in the presence of Cyprus Deputy Minister of Shipping. Natasa Pilides

The President, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou, will return to Cyprus on the 31st of October.
