President of Georgia to pay state visit to Cyprus on November 9-10

The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, will pay a state visit to Cyprus on November 9 and 10 at the invitation of Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades.

 

According to a press release, issued by the Presidency,  Zourabichvili will arrive on Tuesday at 1055 local time at the Presidential Palace, where she will be officially welcomed by the President of Cyprus.

 

The two Presidents will have a tete-a-tete meeting and will participate in expanded talks between delegations of the two countries. After that they will make statements to the media. During the meeting the two Presidents will decorate each other.

 

The President of Georgia will also visit the House of Representatives, while in the afternoon she will meet with Archbishop of Cyprus Chrysostomos II. Later on, she will go to the Embassy of Georgia, where she will meet with members of the Georgian community in Cyprus.

 

In the evening, she will attend an official dinner hosted in her honour by President Anastasiades, at the Presidential Palace.

 

On November 10, the Georgian President will visit the Georgian monastery at the village of Gialia, in Paphos district and afterwards she will leave the island.
