President of Cyprus met with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia

President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades met on Wednesday afternoon with the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, with whom he discussed the latest developments about the Cyprus issue, as well as EU-Georgia relations.

According to an announcement by the Presidency of the Republic, during their meeting in Tbilisi, in the framework of the President’s official visit to Georgia, the two men reaffirmed the friendly level of bilateral relations and expressed their mutual willingness to deepen them even further.

Kobakhidze also informed President Anastasiades about the good cooperation between the parliaments of Cyprus and Georgia in fields of mutual interest. He also said that he accepted the official invitation to visit Cyprus, extended by House President Demetris Syllouris during the latter’s visit to Georgia in 2018.
