President heartbroken over Labour Minister’s loss

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has said he is heartbroken over the loss of Labour Minister Zeta Emilianidou.

Emilianidou had been receiving treatment at a specialised clinic in Athens for the past few weeks after having suffered a brain aneurism.

“I am deeply sorry. The loss of my dear Zeta has left me hearbroken,” the President said in a tweet.

He expresses his sincere condolences to her family.

“Zeta will be missed by all of us,” he notes, adding that “most of all she will be missed by our country which is losing an honest, brilliant and effective Minister.”
