President flies to New York to discuss the future of Cyprus talks

The President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades departs for New York on Saturday afternoon, in order to attend tomorrow a working dinner with the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community Mustafa Akinci. Speaking after the National Council, on Friday, Deputy Government Spokesman Victoras Papadopoulos said that the proposal tabled by President Anastasiades � to start with the chapter of Security and Guarantees � is realistic and could unlock negotiations over a Cyprus settlement.
