President Anastasiades to travel to Brussels for European Council Extraordinary Meeting

The talks between the leaders of EU member states regarding the appointment of officers in the senior institutional positions of the EU will be discussed during the Extraordinary Meeting of the European Council on June 30, in which President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades will be participating.

According to a press release, President Anastasiades will be departing for Brussels in the morning of July 30.

The Meeting will begin in the afternoon of July 30 with an exchange of views with President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani and then the leaders of the member states will attend a working dinner, with the possibility, if necessary, of continuing discussions in the morning of July 1.

President Anastasiades, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou, will be returning to Cyprus in the afternoon of July 1.
