President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, held on Thursday a telephone conversation with the new Prime Minister of Israel, Naftali Bennett, congratulating him on the formation of a coalition government and the assumption of his duties.
According to a written statement by Government Spokesman Kyriakos Koushos, the Prime Minister of Israel thanked President Anastasiades and expressed his readiness to cooperate with him and the people of Cyprus to further strengthen the already excellent relations between the two countries.
During the telephone conversation, President Anastasiades expressed satisfaction with the excellent level of cooperation between Cyprus and Israel as well as his readiness to cooperate with the new Government of Israel, to further strengthen the strategic relationship that the two states have developed in recent years.
