Police fine 30 people, 11 establishment owners for violations of COVID-19 measures

Police fined 30 people and 11 establishment owners after 6,638 checks in the last 48 hours for violations of the COVID-19 measures.

A press release from the Police said that almost half of the checks, 3,111, were about safe pass possession.

The majority of the citizens that were reported by the Police did not wear a face mask. Most of the establishment owners were fined for allowing employees not to wear protective masks, for lack of signage or for allowing customers to dance. In some cases, establishment owners did not carry a safe pass.

“The Police remind that the supervision of the implementation of measures is not only a responsibility of the Police and other departments of the public sector, but it is everyone’s responsibility. Each person in charge of their establishment plays their own role and there should be a horizontal distribution
