Participation of the Foreign Minister in the EU Foreign Affairs Council, in Brussels

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Ioannis Kasoulides, is in Brussels, where, today, he participates in the EU Foreign Affairs Council (FAC). Issues in the Council’s agenda include, inter alia, the situation in Syria and the Middle East Peace Process.

On the sidelines of the Council’s deliberations, Minister Kasoulides will brief his European counterparts on the developments on the Cyprus problem, after the Conference on Cyprus, held in Geneva, on 12 January 2017.

Besides, upon arriving at the meeting today and invited to comment on the outcome of the Geneva Conference, Mr Kasoulides said that we have proceeded to the next level, therefore we move ahead. From now on, we shall wait to see the outcome.
