Minister for Defence, Vasilis Palmas, met the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of the informal meeting of the EU’s Defence Ministers taking place in Brussels on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
According to a post by the Ministry of Defence on X (formerly Twitter), Palmas ‘briefed Borrell on the security situation in the Republic Cyprus’. The two officials also ‘exchanged opinions on matters of foreign policy and security, focusing on the crisis in Ukraine, Israel and the Red Sea’.
