Cypriot MEPs outlined their positions on the future of Europe, during a panel discussion on Monday evening, in the context of a three-day seminar, organised by the European Parliament Information offices in Greece and Cyprus, in Brussels, from 17 to 19 October, attended by media representatives from both countries.
Five Cypriot MEPs also answered questions briefly about the Cyprus problem and referred to a critical juncture in efforts to find a negotiated settlement that would reunite the country, divided since the 1974 Turkish invasion, saying it is imperative to exploit the momentum in the UN-led peace talks, currently underway and to find a functional and viable solution.
