OSCE PA President holds meetings in Nicosia

OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President, Georgian parliamentarian George Tsereteli, holds meetings on Tuesday, in Nicosia, with the President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades, and House President, Demetris Syllouris, in the framework of an official visit he is paying to Cyprus, at Syllouris inviation.

An official press release said that during his visit Tsereteli will also hold meetings with Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, acting Defence Minister, Finance Minister Haris Georgiades and Famagusta Mayor, Alexis Galanos.

He will also hold meetings with the UNSG’s Special Representative to Cyprus, Elizabeth Spehar, and members of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP). He will also visit the Anthropological Laboratory.

Tsereteli will visit the ceasefire line in Deryneia, at the east side of Cyprus, which has been divided since the Turkish invasion of the island in 1974 .

The President of the House of Representatives will host an official dinner in honour of Tsereteli and his delegation, while a working lunch will be hosted by the House delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
