No reports yet for Cypriots among the victims in London, says the Foreign Ministry

No reports have been received as of yet for Cypriots among the victims of Saturday’s terrorists attack in London, however it is still early to have a clear picture, the Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management Center Director, Homer Mavrommatis, told CNA.

He added that the Cypriot High Commission in London is monitoring the situation closely and until now it has not received any piece of information from the British authorities concerning Cypriots.

So far we have no reports for Cypriots among the victims Mavromatis said.

In an announcement it issued on Sunday , the Foreign Ministry says it is closely following the situation and is in direct communication with the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in London. So far, there is no information about Cypriot citizens being involved.

According to the same announcement, Cypriot citizens who are in Great Britain, particularly in London or planning to visit the country shortly, are kindly requested to remain vigilant, follow the instructions of the British authorities and closely follow the media.
