Nicosia hosts 2nd Cyprus-Serbia Intergovernmental Conference

President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiades and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic will chair the 2nd Intergovernmental Conference between Cyprus and Serbia, to take place on Friday in Nicosia.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday by the Cyprus Government, Vucic, heading a large ministerial delegation, will be received by the Cyprus President at the Presidential Palace on Friday morning. The two Presidents will hold a tete-a-tete meeting to be followed by consultations between the delegations of the two countries.

Bilateral relations, the Cyprus issue, EU – Serbia relations, migration crisis, energy, regional developments and diaspora issues will be on the agenda of the talks. The two sides will sign Memoranda of Understanding in various fields. A Joint Declaration is expected to be issued following the talks.

The two Presidents will also make statements to the press and will attend a working lunch.
