New world indoor rowing record achieved in Cyprus

A new world record in indoor rowing was scored in Limassol on Saturday.

Thirty-two year old rowing champion and coach, Aristotelis Ioannou, broke the world record in the men’s age category 30-39, with 1,000 metres in 3:00:2, breaking the previous record that he held of 3:00.3 since November 2017.

His attempt was recorded and will be sent to Concept2, for ratification and subsequently the World Federation FISA.
