New Electronic Publication: Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (summarised data), Oct 2018

The Statistical Service of Cyprus announces that it has published the new monthly electronic publication Intra-Extra EU Trade Statistics (Summarised Data) for October 2018.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were:

(a) Total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU Member States) in January-October 2018 amounted to Euros 7.310,7 mn as compared to Euros 6.454,9 mn in January-October 2017. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January-October 2018 were Euros 3.872,6 mn compared to Euros 2.506,6 mn in January-October 2017. The trade deficit was Euros 3.438,1 mn in January-October 2018 compared to Euros 3.948,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2017.

(b) During October 2018 total imports (covering total imports from third countries and from EU Member States) valued at Euros 723,9 mn as compared to Euros 898,3 mn in October 2017.

(c) Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States), including stores and provisions, in October 2018 amounted to Euros 335,3 mn as compared to Euros 181,8 mn in October 2017. Exports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions in October 2018 were Euros 122,4 mn as compared to Euros 97,1 mn in October 2017 whilst exports of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, in October 2018 were Euros 212,9 mn as compared to Euros 84,7 mn in October 2017. Total domestic exports of industrial products in October 2018 were Euros 115,9 mn compared to Euros 90,9 mn in October 2017. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in October 2018 were Euros 4,5 mn compared to Euros 3,9 mn in October 2017.
