New Cyprus Ambassador to Poland presents credentials

Mr Petros Kestoras presented his credentials to the President of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Poland, during a ceremony held recently at the ‘Belvedere’ Presidential Palace in Warsaw.

During the private meeting that followed the credentials’ ceremony, President Duda underlined the friendly relations between the two countries, conveying his country’s wish to further reinforce and deepen those ties. He also expressed hope for a resolution of the Cyprus problem so that Cyprus can be reunified for the benefit of its people.

The Cyprus Ambassador briefed President Duda on the developments in the Cyprus problem, paying particular emphasis to the ongoing peace process under the UN aegis. Moreover, the Polish President requested that Ambassador Kestoras conveys his warm greetings and good wishes to the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades.
