New Ambassador of the Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany

Mr Andreas Hadjichrysanthou presented his credentials to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Federal Republic of Germany during a ceremony held on 24 April 2017 at Schloss Bellevue, the official Berlin residence of the Federal President of Germany.

During the private meeting that followed the ceremony, Ambassador Hadjichrysanthou extended to the German President the greetings of the President of the Republic, Mr Nicos Anastasiades, and his wishes for progress and prosperity of the people of Germany.

The new Ambassador of Cyprus expressed Nicosia’s satisfaction for the excellent level of the Cypriot-German relations and, at the same time, assured that both the Cyprus government and he personally will continue to work for their further strengthening and enlargement.

Finally, Ambassador Hadjichrysanthou briefed the President of the Federal Republic of Germany on the latest developments in the negotiations for the solution of the Cyprus problem.
