Mongolia wishes to strengthen bilateral relations with Cyprus

President of Mongolia Khaltmaagin Battulga expressed, during the presentation of the credentials of Cyprus’ new Ambassador Antonis Toumazis, his country’s wish to examine ways in which to strengthen bilateral relations with Cyprus in all sectors.

According to a press release, during the ceremony, which took place on November 28, Toumazis extended an invitation to the President of Mongolia, on behalf of President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, to visit Cyprus, which Battulga accepted.

The new Ambassador thanked the Mongolian President for the stance of principle Mongolia maintains on the Cyprus issue, adding that he himself would strive to strengthen bilateral relations on all levels.

During his stay in Mongolia, Toumazis also met with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dadminsuren Davaasuren, and other officials.
