Meetings of 13th post-programme surveillance mission for Cyprus commence at Finance Ministry

The meetings of the Ministry of Finance with delegations from the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund begin today, 26-28 September 2022, in the framework of the 13th post-programme surveillance (PPS) mission for Cyprus to assess the economic, fiscal and financial situation of the country.

 

A Ministry of Finance press release said that meetings will take place with officials from the relevant Cyprus authorities to discuss economic, fiscal and financial issues. At the same time, they will examine issues such as the labour market and the health sector as well as the progress in implementing Cyprus’ recovery and resilience plan and climate change.

 

Of particular significance will be the impact on the Cyprus economy of the sanctions imposed on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine, the press release added.
