Leaders to decide venue abroad for talks on territory probably Wednesday, President says

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci will decide on the venue abroad that will host the meeting on territorial adjustment probably next Thursday, President Anastasiades has said.

“We focused more on the substance of the issues we had before us, rather than setting the venue,” he said in statements upon his arrival to the presidential palace following todays meeting with Akinci in the context of the UN-backed talks for a Cyprus settlement and added that “this (the decision on the venue) will be done probably next Wednesday.”

Responding to a question, the President said the date for the meeting on the territorial adjustments has been given, that is on November 7-11 “probably in Switzerland.
