Larnaka to host ISSF World Cup Shotgun event

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun event is set to take place in Larnaka, between Sunday, April 30 and Saturday May 6, 2017.

Addressing a press conference, Cyprus Shooting Federation President Demetris Lordos said that 450 athletes from 63 countries will take part in the event.

The World Cup has been placed under the aegis of Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and the opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, while the actual events will start on Sunday with the first being the final on women skeet shooting.

On Monday, the final of men skeet shooting is set to take place, while the final for the double trap men final will be on Wednesday. On Friday the women trap final will take place and on Saturday the trap men final will take place.

On Sunday, the final trap mixed team will take place which will be a new sport included in the Tokyo Olympic Games.

The Cyprus Shooting Federation takes part in the event with an 18 member team, 12 men and 6 women.
