King of Jordan, Abdullah II is expected to visit Cyprus soon, in the framework of efforts to further enhance the two countries` relations and cooperation, Cyprus Foreign Minister, Nikos Christodoulides said on Friday, after the talks he had with his Jordanian counterpart Aymal Al-Safadi, in the framework of the the first bilateral high-level meeting of delegations between the Republic of Cyprus and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which took place in Larnaca.
Al Safadi stressed, on his part, his country`s steadfast position that the Cyprus problem needs to be solved on the basis of the UN resolutions and the international law. He also thanked Cyprus about its positions as regards the development of the relations between the Kingdom of Jordan and the EU.
