Issues of common interest were raised in areas concerning the combating of crime, the reform of the judicial system and family law, human rights, during a meeting between Minister of Justice and Public Order Stefi Drakou with the new Ambassador of Sweden in Cyprus, Martin Hagstrom.
The formal meeting, a press release said, took place in view of the upcoming Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The Minister expressed full confidence in the further strengthening of productive relations between the two countries.
Cyprus, as the Minister said, will support Sweden during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
