Jobs, migration and security, the main challenges the EU is facing, head of EPP says

The main challenges the European Union is facing these days relate to unemployment, migration and security, according to the head of the European People’s Party (EPP), the biggest political group at the European Parliament, German Euro MP Manfred Webber.

Addressing a group of Cypriot and Greek journalists, participating in a three-day seminar on the Future of Europe, organised by the European Parliament, he said “the biggest challenge is jobs,” adding that the EU is trying to create a single market. He referred to the Juncker plan, saying that “we want to double the amount of money for investment”, noting at the same time that the EU also needs reform.
