International community reacts to Crans-Montana outcome

The EU stands ready to support any future initiative to resolve the Cyprus issue, Alexander Winterstein, the Commission’s Deputy Chief Spokesman said Friday, in the aftermath of talks in Crans Montana that ended inconclusively. Heather Nauert, a State Department Spokesperson, said from her part that the United States is disappointed that the Conference on Cyprus has closed without an agreement. Russia considers the latest round of talks in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, merely as a stage of the settlement process of the Cyprus issue, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cyprus Stanislav Osadchiy told CNA.
